Arms Wide Open

Hey everyone! We only have one week left here in El Salvador, and we can all agree that we could spend the rest of our Passport trip here. We feel so welcome in the community and can already call this place our home. I will miss Carlos who has been our mentor and Oscar who has been our guide. The thought of leaving the community is already so sad. God has bigger plans and some of the people have encouraged me to come back.

Our ministry is not yet finished here though. Yesterday we went to a non-Christian school, in a village called Rio Frio, where we preformed our goofy skits, and the kids laughed harder than any audience we have had yet. Afterwards we played a game of sharks and minos, where the shark is bad and the minos should run away from them. Madison, Alaina and I were the sharks and we yelled to start the game and the kids ran towards us with open arms and gave each one of us a giant group hug. Alaina fell to the ground, and i haven´t seen the three of us laugh so hard this trip. Two boys looked up at me as if they never wanted to let go.

What a perfect example these boys showed me of how to love God, running with arms wide open and so much excitement the only words the come out are screams and shouts of joy, and once there…never let go. God we pray we will never let go.
