Lazy Hands

We have lived in El Salvador for a week now, and it is a beautiful place. Our team is great! We all have so much in common and have a lot of laughter and joy, and each one of us is eager to help in their own ways. Mike is the other guy on the trip and what a blessing he has been in the company of seven wonderful and beautiful girls.

A few nights ago we went to a village. At first we we so enthralled with the simple and loving lives these beautiful souls were living. It brought me back to the farm where cows were present and a pig joined our church service. At first we walked around inviting people to the service our good friend Carlos held. (CARLOS WHAT A BLESSING!!). Once they arrived we sang hymes and rejoiced. Our team then preformed the life house skit. God was present as many of the villagers had tears in the eyes as God touched their hearts.

A little while afterwards a woman asked us to create a tunnel for anyone who needs healing or prayer. The tunnel was similar to one you would find at a little league football game where parents touch hands with the person across from them as the athletes run underneath. We were all so genuine with our prayers, but our hand and shoulders got tired after a while. I then rested my hand on a woman´s shoulder, and immediately she broke down. I don´t know what she was going through, and i don´t know what that meant to her, or even what God said to her. But It was so clear to me then that God is present and works in ways that are perfect. Its hard to describe, but i felt as if i had nothing to do with it, and my intention was to rest my hand. Almost to say to do nothing and let God use me. What a staple that has created in my life of missions, to rid me of myself and take myself and my pride and my passions and my desires out of my heart, and create room for Christ to use me as he wants.

Because, God is so big and we are so small. The same songs are being sung and the same prayers being prayed, the same community being lived and sought after, the same brokenness, the same rejoice, the same Love…the same Love, is happening all over the world.

Ephesians 4, 4-6 There is one body and one spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, One faith, One baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
