Last week Moriah challenged each of us. She asked us to write a mission statement and find a "life verse" to go along with it.
Challenge Accepted!
It began with one sentence, and then it grew. When I finished the actual statement I wanted to be sure that these things I had prayed about and wrote down truly came from God. So I turned to the word. I wanted to find a verse for each sentence in my statement. But the verses just kept coming. Now it is finished. I posting it here as a declaration. This statement is how I want to live my life, and I want each of you reading this to hold me accountable to it!
For easier reading of the statement I am setting it up as my mission statemnt first and then underneath all the verses to go with each sentence.
I WILL live giving out as much grace, love, and forgiveness as my Father gives me.
I WILL work hard keeping my focus on God, and also rest in his presence.
I WILL humbly serve in whatever way I can.
I WILL glorify him in everything I do.
I WILL live a life that deserves respect from others and be an example to them.
I WILL rejoice with my friends and pray for my enemies.
I WILL fear nothing, including death, because I have God with me strengthening me.
I WILL be filled with the Holy Spirit.
I WILL be in constant communication with my father.
I WILL meditate and study the Word, and apply it to my life.
I WILL seek God's will for my life.
I WILL be still and listen for God's voice.
Above all else, I WILL praise him in every moment. Through sickeness, hardship, and trials, I will bless his name.
In the joy, peace, and blessings, I WILL worship his name.
