First off, I apologize for all of my spelling mistakes in last weeks blog–turns out the copy & paste button doesn't work through our blog website so I had type it before our wifi shut off 🙂
At first I wasn't sure what to blog on. This week has been full of incredible experiences from door to door evangelism to classroom prayers with 2nd graders. Our lives are constantly being shaped and made by God which gives me many stories to write to you guys about. I could write to you the miracles that have happened (don't worry they'll come) but this week I'd like to write about an amazing friendship that has blossomed.
It started about two weeks ago on our first day in El Salvador. I was just getting used to our new home, our new family, and especially the humid heat when a bouncy girl came running around the corner screaming WELCOME MY AMERICAN FRIENDS! We awkwardly exchanged names as she quickly ran off. Later that afternoon she sat in front of us in church and we couldn't help but focus on her beautiful voice during the spanish worship songs.
After church that first day, she came over and we got to know her a little better–her name is Sarah, she is 25 and is studying English in a university in San Salvador. Since the day we got here, she's been over almost everyday teaching us spanish, showing us around her beautiful town & just hanging out. Words can't be put to how incredible this girl is.

You may not think this blog is a "miracle story" or a "life-changer", but to me it is. God places certain people in our lives for reasons. He gives us temporary shoulders to lean on, loving families to turn to, and life-long friends to share the memories with. I know that my team and I have been blessed with our family in El Salvador and all the new friendships that have grown over the past couple weeks. I love my friends, I cherish my Father, and I miss my family. Love you all so much! HASTA LUEGO! ![]()
