Hello all!  Just a quick post to let you know we are safe and sound in Costa Rica! We are living in a school (girls are sleeping in an art classroom, boys in a history classroom :)) and we couldn't be more excited about ministry this month! We will be doing a lot of teaching, and also local evangelism with some of the youth and elderly here. It is breathtakingly beautiful and much cooler then El Salvador 🙂 The team will be updating you all in the next few days, thank you all for your continued prayer and support!  Alaina 

It's been a great time here in El Salvador. The team has poured out their hearts to the people and the church here. It will be sad to leave, but we know that God is continually going to work here. Here is a recap video of our time here in San Vicente, El Salvador. We hope you enjoy it!

Heaven received a new angel this morning. His name is Joao. He was 11 years old. I met him a year ago in Mozambique while on the World Race. For the past couple of days he has been sick. They didn't know with what. Possibly cerebral malaria. He passed away this morning. They are not sure of what. This little kid- I think he is one of the people who has impacted my life the most. I woke up to the news of his passing, and all I could do is cry. The team has been great being there for me. Giving me hugs and crying with me. It's hard. Death is never easy. But Joao is in heaven sitting...

"I can't keep it in, I got to let it out, I've got to show the world, world's got to see, see all the love, love that's in me!" These are the lyrics that flowed through my earphones as I welcomed the morning with the most incredible view of an estuary in El Salvador!! I immediately picked up my notebook and pen because I can't keep it in! As our time in El Salvador bittersweetly comes to a close, a reaccuring theme has presented itself: BEAUTY. Let me paint a picture for you As I write this I am sitting under a beautiful lime tree, surrounded by thick green grass and the gentle wind that blows through my hair carries the scent of the ocean, which is about 20 yards from where I lay. The songs from strange birds fill the air with the occasional interruption of laughter from one of my teammates, and I find myself rendered almost speechless in a few moments of tranquility in this tropical paradise.
