Hello to all! So here I am, sitting at the kitchen table of Pastor Oscar's having some Zucarita's (Frosted Flakes) after a sunrise run with some of my team. It's beyond crazy to say that a week ago 9 completely different lives came together with two similaties–a desire to travel to Central America & a fiery passion to serve our Father. Our first couple days were spent growing and bonding as a team at training camp in Atlanta, Georgia. There we also got to meet all of the other Adventures in Missions Passport teams. There were 5 other teams headed to Uganda, India, Thailand, Guatemal, & Eastern Africa. Our team is more than I could ever ask for–we have two leaders, Alaina(22) and Jamie(23). They both have been traveling for the past ocple years doing varioys mission trips all over the globe There's Andy (22) from Colorado, Madison(22) from Idaho, Kaitlyn(20) from Washington, Moriah(19) from Maryland, Mike(19) from Bristol, England, & Laura(17) from Manitoba, Canada. That's right, we're repping 3 different countries! On Monday, we jumped on an early flight to EL SALVADOR! Luckily we were landed & on our way to our town of San Viecente by 2 pm. We're staying at Pastor Oscar's house which is right next to the church that we are working with. In just a week, we have done more than I ever thought possible. Just to name a couple things, we have vistited multiple childrens schools and taught how much God loves, shared testimonies with men in rehab centers in San Salvador, visitied a natural spring pool for a relaxing dip, spent our free day on the beach and even practived our first street worship.
Before I sign off, I'd like to send a HUGE shoutout to my family & friends who have brought me here and have made me as strong as I am. Happy 51st Dad! Checkout my blog next week for more updates & my Facebook for pictures! Via De Bendiga (God Bless)
