I answered a blocked call

When I say a blocked caller I don’t mean in the sense I didn’t know who was calling, I knew who it was, it was God. I meant I had blocked the calls. For years now he has been calling me but I repeatedly refused to answer. I wasn’t sure want he wanted from me but I was sure that it wouldn’t be anything I would want to give him. I was comfortable in my ways, I was living the college life and loving it. I would tell myself “I can do whatever I want to now, and when I’m older I’ll be a better Christian.” But this past year I’ve become...

I am coffee.

“The sound of worship woke me up this morning. That sounds cool, right?Let me rephrase… the sound of a kick drum, cymbals, and a snare being pounded at random intervals woke me up this morning.___________________________________________________________________________________ As the welcome bonds of sleep slowly released themselves from my mind, I slowly and noisily got myself out of bed. Feet on the floor, contacts in my eyes, and coffee on my mind I headed toward the outdoor kitchen with all of last night’s dishes burdening my arms. Maybe I’m being...

God is a Track Star

I serve an athletic God. Which is funny, because I’m not athletic at all. Our adventure begins!

Hello everybody! The past two weeks have been crazy! We spent a (unexpected) freezing cold week in Georgia for training camp and were more than happy to fly off to El Salvador to find the sun. A church group from both Montana and Wyoming came and joined us here in El Salvador for the first week. With them we painted a church, built a fireplace and visited an organization called Love Link that works with malnourished infants. We also visited many different churches and did a prayer tour praying for ministries. It was a very busy week but each of is built great relationships with the church...

Rain

On Thursday, we did an ATL, an Ask the Lord exercise, where after a session of prayer, we write down any thoughts or draw any pictures that God puts on our hearts, things that he wants us to look for, and then with those things in mind, we step out in faith letting God lead us to the people we should meet. We prayed, asking for God to reveal what He wanted us to look for during our two hours out. After while, the fruit of our prayer session lay before us: a fire hydrant, an umbrella, a woman with a long dark ponytail holding an umbrella and wearing high heels, a car crash with people...
